Drag Me To Fuddruckers
The food is a key factor in most of the hallucinations. Notice that when food is introduced on screen, Christine gets attacked by the spirit. Every time the spirit appears at her house, she is in the kitchen. When she locks the spirit outside of her room, see sees the spirit in the form of a shadow of Pig hooves.
An interesting theory at /Film posits that Sam Raimi’s Drag Me To Hell follows one woman’s descent into madness as she refuses to eat anything. While the film plays with the parts of many a morality tale (banking crisis, greed, class warfare), the sum remains unclear, leaving itself open to interpretation.
[SPOILERS] What’s clear is the chilling implication of the ending. For some reason, the last shot of Lohman literally being dragged to hell, her eyes bulging in total fear, really got to me. In this world full of terrible people, if you’re cursed there is no escape.
